Sep 25, 2016 4:28 PM in response to tk4982by jesusdaniel1901,Guys i just found i solution. I'm a developer so the MySQL daemon was running when i tried to shutdown or restart my computer. So if you have a MySQL daemon running be sure that the daemon is stopped when you want to restart or shutdown your computer. Hope this helps

Hi Carlos, try to stop the mysql server with this command. sudo /usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server stop
don't do it in the systems preferences. Also don't start the MySQL Server automatically. My MySQL version is 5.7.10.
I've been using my Mac for two days doing what i told you and it had worked without any problem. Hope this help you

Sep 27, 2016 9:38 AM in response to jesusdaniel1901by carlos12silva94,I've done it from command line, was not from system preferences. Maybe it is caised not only by mysql, but also with another dev framework or tool. At least we found that the problem is not only caused by sierra.

Sep 27, 2016 5:42 PM in response to carlos12silva94by tk4982,Hey guys,
I am glad that I am not the only one. I am not a developer so I don't know if I have MySQL in my Mac mini or not. Interesting thing is my MacBook Pro is fine but Mac mini is not able to shut down.
