Q: Apple ID ok, but new phone demanding old ID for cloud!
Help, Im at my wits end. Countless calls and hours on the line with various Apple support staff and no further on. I have an iPhone 4S, upgraded days ago to iPhone 6 (oh you lucky people with a 7!)
I backed up my old phone and then set up my new one to back up from Cloud. All was going well - contacts have imported, but then everything stopped, and new phone demanded password for an old ID I havent used in over 3 years. Restore and update wont work even when assisted remotely by Apple. IOS 10 has downloaded via iTunes from my pc as requested by Apple support but I cant install because my new phone keeps requesting the password for the defunct ID.
In new phone settings - my current ID is there for Itunes and Apps, but go to cloud and its the defunct one. Im tearing my hair out here. Further call today and support has crashed and I need to call back!
Yes, apparently now I can send it in to be looked at, but Im going to be charged for this???? I havent even been able to send a text from it! And my network provider doesnt want to know because its Apples product. Great service eh?
