Q: Airport Express setup: How to manually set IP and DNS?
I just bought an Airport Express, to get wifi from the ethernet cable I have in my dorm room.
To connect to internet via the ethernet cable, I need to input an IP, DNS, gateway and mask numbers provided by the dorm (as I did on my Macbook).
The problem is that I don't see where I can do it for the Airport Express. After I plug the ethernet cable in it, it keeps wanting to setup up itself alone, which doesn't work (it tries to "join the network" forever, without success).
How can I set IP, DNS etc manually?
Thanks a lot for the help

SOLVED. I wired the AE and the Macbook. Only this would allow Airport Utility to detect the AE. From there I just had to click on the AE on change the settings from there.
Make sure you plug the ethernet cable into either the WAN or the LAN port depending on whether you connect it to your modem or to the Macbook.
Hope this will help anyone in need
