Q: Is there a way to remove Facebook birthdays from my phone's calendar without removing my contacts' birthdays?

I have, as many people do nowadays, quite a lot of "friends" on facebook, but i really don't want all their birthdays in my phone calendar, because I'm not close enough with most of them to need to remember! I have tried to remove "birthdays" from my calendar but that simply removes ALL birthdays including my friends and family members that I have as actual contacts.

PLease help!

    Hi TabethaZC,

Thanks for posting your question in the Apple Support Community! I understand you don't want to see all of your Facebook friend's birthdays in your calendar. I can understand how that can be a a nuisance, especially if you have a lot of friends to manage. I'm happy to provide some help.

You can turn this feature off by going to Settings > Facebook. On that page you should see toggle switches at the bottom for things like Calendar, Contacts, etc. Turn the Calendar off and that should remove the birthdays from your calendar on the iPhone. You can see more details here:

Sign in to social networks like Facebook and Twitter on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    Cheers!
