OSX Movie Software like Apple iOS Memories?

I am looking for a desktop version of software that works like the new iOS Memories or Google Photos Movies. While I have Final Cut Pro X it is way over kill for the kinda of movies I want to put together. The movies created by iOS Memories or Google Photos Movies are perfectly fine for me. Just select some pictures and videos and have it throw together a quick video with no effort and then after it is created you can add or remove pictures, add some comments, change music.

Seems to me that this would be popular for users. I don't like putting together these movies on my iPhone or iPad.
