Found out the hard way, went to use my VPN on my phone for business and noticed my connection wasn't there. I thought it was a hiccup during the upgrade to ios10, and proceeded to add back the connection settings. What I noticed was the protocol pptp was missing. After a quick search on the internet I found out that ios10 and osx sierra removed this protocol due to it's insecurities. I understand that process, but don't you think it should be up to the user to make that decision? Our network is archaic but that is what we use for vpn. I was able to purchase a 3rd party app for my macbook pro for this function called "Shimo" and it works flawlessly. I know Apple won't put that protocol back in there but does anyone know of a vpn app that I can use for pptp to connect to our business network for ios 10?
