Q: iCloud and photos app duplicating photos

First i copied my Photo Library to a drive (which was synced with my iCloud account).

Then, I just made a clean Sierra install for my MacBook.

After that located my Photo Library with Photos App.

And opened iCloud photo library.

Photos app started to download all the same photos to my mac book again.

So i have duplicated photos now.

How can i stop it duplicating?

 

(i have 13,000 photos nearly 50 GB)

MacBook Air, macOS Sierra (10.12)

    The only that I know of is via a third-party application.

     

    There are a few duplicate programs that are tested as safe with Photos including PowerPhotos, PhotoSweeper for Photos and Duplicate Annihilator for Photos - do not use one not tested and documented as safe.
