Q: Message fails to send when replying using Siri

I've noticed that when I use Siri to read and reply to a message/text in Messages, the send fails. This wasn't an SMS message, so I'm wondering if it's a settings thing, or a wee glitch in how Siri talks to the app. Not a life-threatening issue, I just go resend from the Messages app without issue. Just wanted to put this out there for a fix.

    Hi black campbell,

I understand that you are having some difficulties sending messages with Siri in macOS Sierra on your MacBook Air. I know that she is a great assistant to have, so I'm happy to help.

Do you get any error when these messages fail to send? Is there any troubleshooting that you've tried for this issue?

Let's start by toggling Siri off and on again. To do so open System Preferences > Siri. Turn off Siri, wait a few seconds, and test it out again.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Cheers!

Just tried it. No joy. I get a pop-up that says: Your message could not be sent. There was an error sending the previous message. Would you like to try again?

It doesn't work unless you go into messages and resend from the app. I figure it's an integration bug. It's no huge annoyance; I just thought maybe there was an easy fix.
