Q: apple id verification
Hi there
I have a 2011 iPhone 4S a 2011 MacBook Air and an 2015 iPad 2 Air all on the latest respective operating systems.
I use the iPhone and iPad a lot and everything is well aligned. I also use iCloud on two windows desktops and all is well there also. The MBA is less used and since last years Yosemite upgrade I am having the following issues.
- Notes not updating from the MBA.
- Every time I turn on the MBA, a pop up message appears asking for my iCloud password. I can repeatedly enter it and it keeps asking for another one. Each time I enter a password in the MBA, a question appears confirming the action and a verification code is sent to the iPhone/iPad, but there is no facility to enter this code on the MBA.
With the exception of syncing Notes, all other cloud options seem to be working. Email, iTunes. Again no problem accessing the web version of iCloud on the MBA
Also my only purchased App on the MBA is refusing to work, again looking for the iCloud password repeatedly.
The MBA does not have the two factor verification option. First is this a configuration option for this 2011 MBA that is running on 10.10.5?
Unfortunatally there is no Apple store in my country to give assistance.
Regards
Donal

Regarding Notes, you have an issue because you are still running OS X Yosemite. The current configuration of Notes (used in iOS 9 and 10) require at least OS X El Capitan.
Upgrade your notes with iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan - Apple Support
Also, two-factor verification was introduced with OS X El Capitan and requires El Capitan or later.
