even though i am online via my Airport Extreme it can't be found in the Utility. how do i find it?

even though i am online via my Airport Extreme it can't be found in the Utility. how do i find it? i have a drive connected that i can't access. it was there before and nothing has changed, it just disappeared. using Macbook for finding files, but not on iPad utility either.

You would do this by using a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter.....a valuable device to have for situations like this when a direct wired connection is desired. The device will also help if you are transferring or copying files from the Mac to another hard drive.....since a wired connection is always preferable to wireless in terms of speed and reliability.
