MegaBackup used - safe to uninstall?

Hi all,

Help! MegaBackup & MacKeeper used and need uninstalling from my iMac OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2. Processor 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 4GB. Are all my photo files and other files now safe if I delete MegaBackup & MacKeeper? Do I need to back all these up first, to a flash drive or whatever?

Thanks

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor, 4 GB Memory

Both MegaBackup and MacKeeper can simply be dragged to the trash from Finder.

MacKeeper will pop up a couple of additional screens asking you to keep it, but you can just X out of the first, and tap 'no thanks' on the second.

Make sure you remove them from your startup (system preferences > users and groups > login items ) list. Finally, run Malwarebytes (malwarebytes.org) to remove the rest of the adware and malware.

Do a backup, preferable 2 separate ones on 2 drives.

Download this program which was written by Thomas Reed, a long time poster. The program will do the work for you which makes it easy.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac 10.8 and later

What should I do if Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac didn't solve my problem?
