Cannot erase email from inbox

Today I received an email that appeared incomplete with no message. When I attempt to delete it from my inbox or even if I move it to my junk mailbox and attempt to delete it I received the following message: The file “158417.emlx” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file.

Repeated attempts to delete it fail. I have run a virus screen and a malware screen that fortunately both come up negative. I would be grateful for anyone's assistance on how to erase this from my inbox and now from my junk box. Thank you.
