External Microphone not recognized on MacBook Pro

I recently purchased Brainwavz Delta IEM Earphones. While the inline controls and microphone work on my Android device, neither the inline controls or microphone are recognized by my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015). I have a pair of earbuds that came with my old Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S5), and both my phone and my computer recognized the external microphone and inline controls on them.

For clarification, when I say that my computer does not recognize them, I mean that opening up system preferences and going to sound, it sees I have headphones in output but not an external microphone in input. With my old headphones, it showed an external microphone in input.
