Blinking Folder but .......

Hi All.

I have a Macbook Pro that boots to the blinking question mark folder BUT the same HD boots normally on a different Macbook Pro I have here.

Also, if I use the HD from the other MBP I have here on the computer that originally had the question mark folder, it works fine.

So it seems this MBP is only not willing to accept this specific HD (its brand new HD i bought today and installed the OS from the MBP that has the HD that is working on this computer).

Its a little confusing but I hope I was able to explain it enough and get a reply.

Thanks

MacBook Pro, iOS 10

If the hard drive has been swapped between computers, and works with

one (and the system software is capable of supporting both) there may

be a cable that is partially defective; so check & replace suspect cables.

The other linked articles are good advice, since the issue may be of a

combination software-and/or-hardware; or both.

If the drive is an externally enclosed drive, with a clone, etc, it may be

in need of some inspection, as enclosures can have odd issues too.

Good luck in this matter! 🙂
