Q: Since I have run macOS sierra my home screen flickers

Last night I have upgrade my MBA 2015 Model on macOS sierra, the moment it starts for the very first time it took longer time and after the start the home screen flicker like its an error or something I ignored for the first time done my work again in the morning it does the same thing and then I restart 3 times and it does the same ? am I the only one facing this issue ? My MBA still under warrenty  

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

    Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We're sorry to hear that you are having these issues with your MacBook Air after a recent upgrade. If you are seeing flickering of your home screen/desktop, you may want to try booting in safe mode and see if the issue persists. If it does, try to note exactly when it starts happening (immediately when the screen comes on, at the login screen, as the desktop is loading, etc). You may find the information and steps outlined in the following article helpful.

    Hi,

     

    Yes I tried in the safe mode but still it flickers, right after loading startup screen for the desktop shows flicker for 2 sec

    Hi Hulk2k,

    Thanks for trying that. Just to clarify, when you say that it happens just after loading the startup screen for the desktop, which exact screen are you talking about, and/or what exactly are you seeing? Did you see the Login screen, and was there flickering there? You may find the following article helpful:

    Also, when you say that it shows flicker for 2 seconds, do you mean that it flickers for two seconds and then goes away and doesn't come back, or do you mean that it flickers every two seconds consistently?

    Hi,

     

    Thanks tons for your efforts, I wish I can upload Video content to help you understand better but the option is not available, somehow I have managed to take a pictures, during making video of the situation happens to me every time i logged in

    1. I have tried log in Safe Mode still it shows the same flicking, even more screen flickers when I tried to open a web site

    2. I have tried making new user account, and the same thing happens to it

    3. First picture you see account is loading,second is flickering, this is just at the moment I captured anyways it last for 2 to 3 seconds, same on the New User and take more time in Safe Mode. I hope you understand now
