Q: Empty thumbnails in Pages 5.6.2 since Sierra

Whenever I open a Pages 5.6.2 doc, the thumbnails to the left are empty. This occasionally used to happen before moving up to Sierra too. When this happened in Capitan, two ways could be used:- 1/ clicking in the doc itself would sometimes bring up the completed thumbnails, and 2/ closing and then reopening thumbnail view would always bring them up.

Since Sierra, only method 2 works.

Any insight, please?

Thanks.

Pass your pointer over the right edge of the upper Thumbnail gallery, Then click, and slightly drag to the left to resize the gallery and restore your thumb views. There is no user configurable setting for this, Pages does not remember, and is a case of Apple coding the wrong gallery width value in Pages v5.6.2.

This is a carryover problem from El Capitan, and is not new to Pages v6.0 or macOS Sierra.
