I Was thinking abou purchasing them for my iPod 6 and I want to know of they will

work with my device before I spend the money for them

Hi

If you are referring to Apple AirPods (the new wireless headphones that are expected to become available in late October), then they are compatible with iPod touch 6th Generation.

EarPods with 3.5 mm Headphone Plug are also compatible with the same iPod touch.

the wireless ones use the bluetooth profile called a2dp and will also be compatible with android, windows phones and computers and other devices which support that bluetooth profile
