el capitan does not retain passwords

I'm using El Capitan and have the latest upgrades to it. Ever since I switched to El Capitan I am no longer able to stay logged into any of the websites I use on a regular basis, including my email. Also, I have changed passwords on a few websites and my system never recognizes the change so I have to keep entering in the new passwords. I've already tried multiple times to remove the websites from my stored passwords and reenter everything but that does not work. Is there a way to fix this so I can stay logged in at all times?
