Q: why have i not been able to update icloud for windows since version 3.1

I have not been able to update icloud for windows since version 3.1. Each time it fails and rolls back to old version I have

null, Windows 10, pc

Did you try deleting the old version first?

I encountered a similar issue a while back: Unable to Update iCloud for Windows.

YEs I did try that but it just reloads the older version. I can't actually find a way to uninstall iCloud from menus or control panel - just deleting doesn't seem to help
