epson scan issue

epson scan issue

OS X 10.11.6; Epson Scan 40.2.0 on Perfection V500 Photo

Upon clicking on "scan" the system waits until I move the mouse or trackpad ever so slightly to apparently wake it up.

What's up with that?

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, I'm understanding that you have to move the cursor on your Mac before your scanner will wake up and run the scan you requested. I know it's important that things work efficiently with a scanner, and would be happy to help!
