Q: Is my music lost?

For a year I enjoyed Apple Match, but $$ forced me to cancel it in May, 2015. I stored my music locally on a MacBook running 10.6.8, which is no longer supported, so I can't upgrade its iTunes. If I get a Mac running Sierra, will my music be accessible in iCloud?

iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular (MM), Other OS, iOS7

If you're upgrading then the library should come too, or you can back it up and restore it. Your purchases are generally available in the cloud. Other content might be if you still had an active iTunes Match or Apple Music subscription.

Thanks. I started a 90-day Apple Music subscription the other night, but it did no good. I'm using my iPhone now, and had just upgraded to iOS 10.

Yep, media can always be copied from any drive or device it exists on, but if you cancelled a subscription there is no reason why Apple would maintain a list of the music you had previously.
