Q: how to move my contacts from my MAC to my iPhone

My latest synchronization moved the contacts from my iPhone to to my Mac. Now I want them replaced into my iPhone.

    Synchronization doesn't "move" files, it syncs (copies) them. If you set your Mac and iPhone to sync via iTunes or iCloud and are using the same Apple ID, both devices should contain the same contacts data.

     

    If that's not what you're seeing, give us more detailed information on what, exactly, you're doing and how.

    Thank you, Rysz, for replying.

    What i want is to copy the contacts from my Mac to my iPhone, and the only possibilty i see on iTunes

    is copiing the other way round.

    What OSX version is on the Mac?

    Are both the Mac and iPhone signed into iCloud and is Contacts turned on in iCloud's settings/?

    When you select in iTunes to Sync contacts, the information is synchronized in both directions.

     

    Depending on what version you have installed, the window might look a little different from my screenshot, but it will work the same way. Mine is inactive because I sync over iCloud and Wi-Fi.
