Q: Airport express to extend wi-fi using power line adapter but NO airport extreme
Hi
Im looking into buying an airport express so I can stream music through my stereo and also create another wireless network upstairs in my house.
My question is, I currently have a non-apple wireless router downstairs and I have connected to that a power line adapter, with another power line adapter upstairs. If I connect the airport express to the power line adapter upstairs, will I be able to create another network upstairs as well as stream my music, even though the router that the connection is coming from is non-apple router?
Thanks
Andy

If your Upstairs Airport Express will be connected via the WAN port using a regular ethernet cable from the Powerline adapter and will be in Bridged mode, you can create a wireless network upstairs. In non-bridged mode, you may see double-NAT issues, which should be avoided.
