Q: My 2012 MacBook Pro 13" is registered as "admins macbook pro". How do I change this to my name?

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro 13" that has been reformatted, fresh instal OS X Yosemite, yet it shows on apple support as "admins macbook pro", not my name. How do I change this to my name?

A:

In System Preferences -> Sharing, edit the name of your Mac to what you want the device to have. Delete the Mac from your AppleID Account Manage Page. The new name will register when you sign out from your Mac and sign back in using your AppleID.

If you go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Sharing, what does it show in the Computer Name field?

If you are referring to https://supportprofile.apple.com/, then you can edit the name to one of your choice, as long as you follow Apple's restrictions.

Thanks for answer.
Not where you suggested but on my "appleid" account/manage page.
There seems to be no way to change this, I can only add or remove a device, not change the name.
