Q: Smc reset does not fix 'no power on'

Have been having start up/power on with MacBookPro (late 2008) and reset of SMC has been working. Now it does not, so cannot power up. El Capitan and 8G ram installed one week ago and worked great, but now unable to get started.

OBS MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2008), iOS 10, El Capitan

I see that your MacBook Pro isn't turning on and resetting the SMC isn't helping any longer. I would suggest taking a look at this support article and trying the other steps it suggests: If your Mac won‘t turn on
