AirPlay mirroring not working - macOS Sierra

I do not know what has happened. AirPlay was working fine yesterday. Now today, it is all of a sudden asking me for a passcode to AirPlay to my Apple TV 4. When I enter the passcode that appears on my TV, my Mac then says "cannot connect to Apple TV". No matter what I do, I cannot get it to work. I have restarted both my MacBook Pro and my Apple TV. I have deleted the networkinterfaces.plist as suggested in another article among other things suggested.

I've also been having trouble with the stupid Keychain Access crap always popping up asking me for a password. I have never once had this happen before. I barely even knew what Keychain was until I updated to Sierra.

I do not know what has caused this. If someone has a working solution, please help me.

Are there any solutions to this?

Im having a similar problem after upgrading to a new iMac retina 4k from an older iMac.

All my previous GoPro videos made in GoPro Studio on old iMac play fine thru iTunes sharing over ATV, but not a new video I have made using the new iMac with updated version of GoPro Studio.

What gives? Its so frustrating to purchase expensive new Apple items only to find they don't work as expected. Frustrating annoyingly annoyed!!!

I'm having the same problem. I've tried restarting and resetting everything. No joy. I thought it was a problem with the Apple TV and then suddenly realised that it was the first time I'd tried airplay since the upgrade to Sierra. Then found this thread and a load of others talking about the same problem.

This has essentially made my Apple TV useless. Very frustrated.

I'm having similar issues. I haven't resolved the Apple TV issue, waiting for a Apple update.

For the keychain I was having the same issue. I resolved it by deleting the login for your keychain and creating a new one. This however will reset all passwords saved within the keychain and you will need to re-enter them as you go along if you save passwords. A bit of a pain but solves the issue.
