Hi,
today I tried to upgrade from El Capitan to Sierra, after the reboot the installation said that there is not enough free space left. Therefore I changed the start volume to my system disk and booted into El Capitan.
How can the upgrade procedure restarted after deleting old files?
The App Store show's only that Sierra is loaded.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that you're needing assistance with upgrading to Sierra, as the Mac App Store no longer gives the option to download. I want to make sure you're able to successfully upgrade and enjoy Sierra.
If you quit the installer instead of clicking Continue, you can open it later from your Applications folder, Launchpad, or Spotlight. Look for a file named Install macOS Sierra. During installation, your Mac might restart several times. It then performs some initial setup tasks in the background. While those tasks are underway, activities such as using Spotlight or Mail might not seem as fast as they were before.
