Since upgrading to Sierra, the mail panel with the list of emails in it flickers every time I select an email to view.
Slightly irritating. Closing Mail and restarting doesn't make any difference.

System Preferences > Displays
Ensure the resolution is set to 'Default for display'.
If you still see issues, send Apple feedback.
You need to report it to Apple Feedback so it can be logged and put in the queue to be fixed. Be sure to add the info about your Mac that is found under “About this Mac”.
Hi yes I tried that and it fixed it, I was using the setting one to the right of default. I then set it back to my previous setting and flickering didn't return.

That didn't work for me. Still flickering.
This has been an issue during the beta. It seems to also be tied to the machine. You need to report it to Apple Feedback so it can be logged and put in the queue to be fixed.
Be sure to include your machine info in “About this Mac”.
FYI - still an issue for me on my 13 inch MacBook Pro Retina (early 2015) - presumably not fixed in recent update. Per your advice, I will report to be fixed. Cheers
