Q: My iPod 5th Gen. just stopped working?

Hi,

My iPod 5th generation has just stopped working. I did the usual, and plugged it in at night, only to wake up and find it unresponsive. I have tried plugging it into a computer, and it didn't show up in iTunes and I also tried several different power cables.

I have had this iPod for about 3 years now, it's battery had just become worse and worse. It's home button also stopped working a while ago, I could fix that, but I could still use it without it (Thank you, Assistive touch).

But without the home button working, I can't force restart it.

Is there any way to solve this?
