Itunes 12.5.1.21 with OSX playback stutters/breaks up

ITunes 12.5.1.21 with OSX playback stutters/breaks up when playing back off the LaCie NAS. I am on BT Fibre in the UK. Its not affecting Apple Music playback. Any ideas out there?

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)
