Sep 26, 2016 9:03 AM in response to mrseaby JimmyCMPIT,if your ID is blocked and the device is locked you need to provide Apple with a proof of purchase from the original purchase receipt so if you bought from a 3rd party on eBay or amazon or craigs list you will need the receipt from the original buyer, not the service that brokered the deal and sent you an email of the transaction.
You will also need the serial number of the device.

Sep 26, 2016 9:17 AM in response to mrseaby JimmyCMPIT,Again; this forum is not Apple, we are volunteers and we dont work for Apple, dont get paid by them and we certainly can cant influence or change what Apple policies are. This prevention is entirely Apples policy, but they implement it as a prevention against stolen devices from being used. Unless the device was purchased from an authorized Apple retailer they wont permit the device from being unlocked but if you did purchase from an authorized retail center they might have a copy of your receipt.
