Q: How do I send an email to a number of people and only their name will appear.

When I send an email to a number of people I want it to show it went to them but none of the other people when they receive it.

G4, Mac OS X (10.2.x)

A:

You can't do exactly what you describe, but the usual workaround for not displaying a mailing list is to send the email to yourself, with the mailing list in the Bcc field.

I do receive emails from some people that it shows my name in To: and the rest are Undisclosed. I'd like to do the the same with Mac Mail.

The method I describe shouldn't show that anyone else is getting the message (as it's blind Carbon Copy) so I'm not sure how your result is being achieved. Give my method a try and see what happens.

I do send them BCC but don't the people who receive them - doesn't show To: "Undisclosed Recipient"

The people receiving the mail when the entire list is in BCC, will see their name, and nothing else.

This is not the experience I have, however I'm not using a Mac with Mail, however that is also not what I see when I send something like that in iOS mail.

I am using Mac Mail and would like to see it changed. I received back from three of the people I sent to BCC and they all said it came To: Undisclosed Recipient.
