Q: What are the triggers for the Move target to change?
My Move target used to change pretty much weekly, and I liked that I was being challenged a bit more, or "punished" for being lazy. Then for quite some time it got stuck at 510 calories (which is actually about right for me), before creeping up and peaking at 640 a couple of months ago. Travel and a minor injury saw it fall to 430 when I failed to get to the target for much of a week.
But I've just had my second consecutive week of getting the "Perfect Week (All Activity)" Achievement, and got three Move Goal 200%'s in a row. I was surprised that the software didn't bump up my Move target last week; now I'm kind of outraged.
I am not asking how to change it - I know. (Press and hold in Activity, if you're reading this by way of a search.) It makes no difference to my level of activity what the target is, and for these purposes I'm more interested in trying to work out what the algorithm is looking for. My friends with Apple Watches also note that it seems almost entirely random. Anyone worked out what the triggers are?
