No SIM card installed error message since iOS 10

Good morning.

I have an iPhone 6s Plus that has been receiving eight no Sim card installed error message intermittently since the iOS 10 update.

Any clues as to why?

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), iPhone 6s Plus, Apple TV (3rd gen)

Apologies.

Thank you for the helpful link, however I neglected to include that I've done all of the prescribed Apple fixes. As they were the same as what the internet had for suggestions, I'm back for more insight.

I have the latest carrier update, checked the SIM card, and I'm exhausted with toggling airplane mode, restarting the phone, and resetting all of my networks. The sole step I've yet to attempt is wiping and setting up as a new device.
