Q: HDMI Splitter El Capitan - Sierra

I changed my MacMini (late 2014) from El Capitan to Sierra now. The MacMini is connected to my BENQ via a HDMI splitter. After changing the OS, the monitor does not switch on from standby while starting the MacMini. Connecting the Mac directly to the monitor does not cause this problem.

Anyone had the same problem an a solution for it? Thank you.

Try starting in Safe mode. Yo do that by depressing and holding the Shift key during booting.
