Iphone 7 Plus Bluetooth Subaru

I just upgraded from iPhone 6S Plus to 7 Plus. I was always able to talk on my phone via bluetooth in my 2014 Subaru Outback until now.

Apple tells me that Subaru needs to update their software drivers, Subaru is telling me that Apple needs to come up with a software update. I am still able to play my music on my phone though bluetooth, just not talk on the phone. Does anybody have an idea when or if there will be a software update? Thanks!

I have similar issue. Just purchased a 2013 subaru outback and my iPhone 7 iOS 11.2 will only connect to one BT feature or the other. If I connect to the phone, BT audio will not connect and visa versa. I have to fully set up and pair phone every time I switch from the handsfree phone feature to the bluetooth audio. Anyone else have this issue?

I'm having the exact same problem with my iPhone 7 plus in my 2011 Ford Explorer. It only started when I upgraded to the iPhone 7 plus and downloaded the latest iOS 10.2 Apple need to fix this issue with Bluetooth connections. Now when I have a call I have to change my phone to speaker and put my phone as close to me as I can so that I can talk hands free. This is crazy. APPLE please take action!

It's not a Subaru issue and it's not a Ford issue - its an APPLE issue.

Jan. 26, 2017. So I've tried every thing I know plus, where I work, most of our IT guys have iPhine. We did everything g from disconnecting the 2011 Ford Explorer battery, reprogramming my My Ford Touch Sync System. We double and triple checked with the Ford tech guys at several Ford service centers, even had a tech guy call me to try to help me. APPLE ITS NOT THE FORD ITS THE PHONE. We (3 separate IT professionals very savvy with Apple products). Spent hours in my car with my iPhine 7 plus "forgetting" the phone deleting the iPhone from the sync system, we reset my phone setting. We even wiped my phone clean as if it was a brand new out-of-the-box phone. Do you know what a pain that was to have to write down every app I have and reinstall every single one???? I spend so much time in my car, it is so important for me to drive hands free. I even thought about buying a Apple Watch series 2 or the new AirPods just so I don't have to fight with my phone's blue tooth constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. But I'm not giving Apple another penny if my money until they make this right. The only thing I know to do is get on here as often as I can and keep posting my problem, in hopes to have someone at Apple finally take notice. But I'm getting the impression that NI ONE AT APPLE IS MONITORING this community posting. Ugh so frustrating.

I have paired my IPhone 7 through the radio using the radio functions in my 2014 forester and it connects fine, phone calls are fine but playing music it drops out and the song still continues to play but not through the radio system even though it says it's still connected via Bluetooth. It will then cut back in and a few minutes later drop out again. Very frustrating.

I believe this is a Subaru issue and has to do with the memory for BT Audio connector. I have a 6s iphone and a 2012 Outback and all was working fine for 1 year. I could talk on phone and then when I hung up, music continued playing. It all changed with I paired my son's phone to the BT audio. It said it was full and when I listed BT Audio devices, it listed 2 previous car owners phones! How was this working the whole time when I never paired the BT Audio device and wouldn't have been able to since there were already 2 previous audio devices in memory? So I deleted the 2 previous BT Audio devices and tried to pair mine again. It wouldn't find it...just kept saying searching..searching. Then had to go back in and pair my phone again...like it was starting from scratch. Phone calling worked fine but wouldn't play music. Paired BT Audio player again "from car" and I was able to play music via BT but now phone calling doesn't work. The voice command does say it "may" disconnect the phone to connect BT Audio device and that you may need to reconnect the phone again after. I'm stuck in either BT audio with no phone calls or phone calls with BT audio. When I have the phone connected/paired and try to connect BT I can see the connection flashes from Connected to Not Connected and keeps saying searching. I never changed my phone just the devices in memory.

Hi - i have a 2014 subaru forester. I had an iphone 5s with no problems with bluetooth connectokty. I just got an iphhone 7. I was able to pair the phone no problem. However when i shut the car down and restart the phone will not reconnect. I have to re-pair the device. Subaru told me this is the first they heard of the problem. Worked with apple - did a factory reset eTc. My 5s was running 10- no problem. Something with the iphone 7.
