Given your topic originally was in MacPro (desktop pro tower) section

and when asked to be relocated, suggestion was given then to hosts

as best-guess, to place it into the MacBook Pro ASC: that didn't help.

An almost common misdirect occurs for the MB/Pro portable topics, to

find themselves wandering lost, among mountainous powerful towers...

Depending on your portable MacBook Pro build model & year, and size

of display, the hardware will vary as will the takeapart to repair said unit.

You may be able to locate the correct unit (if MB/Pro portable) from among:

https://www.ifixit.com/Device/MacBook_Pro macbook pro repair guides

Then see if the prospects of a DIY are within your technical skill set, or not.

Specialized tools and tedious steps of micro-surgery may be involved.

And if their guide suggests the repair is do-able, then you may try it...

In any event...

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂

You may also consider the prospect of setting an appointment at Apple

store with Genius, ahead of a visit, to assure you some time to explain

the issue and see what kind of recommendation they can suggest...

{At least with a portable Mac, an entire unit is most easily transported.}

As these items get older, the referral often is to an outside repairer who

is Apple Authorized; or if enough is needing repair, you could opt to get

an overhaul ~ for a set fee. Depending on your location, this may vary.

If that's the only issue...

Good luck & happy trails! 🙂
