Sep 26, 2016 3:36 PM in response to ridgieby ChrisJ4203,That will spin if you go to Personal Hotspot as it attempts to create a connection. If you are not in Personal Hotspot, it is not doing anything. It is probably not what is causing your drain. Go to Settings>Battery and you can see what is using the highest percentage of your battery and you can troubleshoot from there.

Sep 27, 2016 3:03 AM in response to ChrisJ4203by ridgie,Hello Chris and thank you for your response. I'm afraid I cannot find the settings>battery that you suggest to see what is causing such a huge drain down. I also cannot get into personal hotspot in an attempt to turn off the spinning wheel, it will not let me. Just sits and spins. I have nothing else open in the background that could be causing the drain down. I have even turned off wifi and bluetooth and as I am travelling abroad have turned off 3g and data roaming to avoid any surprises money wise. Any clue on where to find the battery usage would be great. I have looked in settings but could be missing something. It's all a mystery!! I've got an iPhone 4 version 7.1.2. TIA.

Sep 27, 2016 5:34 AM in response to ridgieby ChrisJ4203,Okay, I as I think, I believe that Settings>Battery is new and was not in iOS 7.1.2. I'll have to try and look back, but again, if you open Personal Hotspot you will see that spinning wheel. If you do not open it in Settings, then you will not see anything. You say you think it is causing a battery drain, what is your battery issue? How long is the battery lasting?
