Q: Camera and SMS problem

Thanks for posting on the Apple Support Communities. I see that when texting the “>” button to access the camera, Digital Touch, and iMessage Apps doesn’t always work. Also the camera sometimes freezes for a few seconds when ta king a selfie from the Message app. I know how much I use the message app to send messages and pictures. I will be more than happy to help. 

You mention you want to figure out if this is hardware or software related. The easiest way to do that is to factory reset the iPhone, then set it up as a new device to test it before restoring your backup. Before doing this, I recommend backing up. Below you will find some helpful articles.
