Same here. We have two early 2015 MBP 13", and their keyboard and trackpad stopped working last week. Other one needs to have an external keyboard and mouse all the time. But the other one works randomly.

Resetting the SMC did not help.

That is the exact model that I have and mine is acting exactly like this!!!

I went to the official apple repair shop yesterday. They said that if they have to change the keyboard's top part, it will be around 600 euros. There is no "keyboard only" -spare part. It is a package that includes keyboard, battery and ribbon cables.

Fortunately my randomly working MBP woke up normally in their magic hands, so I have some time to think what to do with this issue.

Built-in keyboard and trackpad worked only one day. Now I'm with externals again...
