Reminders in iOS 10 is not working correctly .

When a reminder pops up in the lock screen, you used to be able to slide it over to acknowledge it. Now you have to go the extra step to view it first. Then it may or may not give you the option acknowledge it, set a reminder. If it does happen to give you options to acknowledge it, it won't function at all. I can push any button but nothing will happen.

And it is hit or miss if the reminder will show up on the phone at all! I see the reminder on my mac and my watch but not my phone! Something aint right!

This should be support for an iOS 10 App right, but it is not allowing me to select that community! Agh!!!

Gus, you are right: Posting here does not do any harm.

I only want to encourage everyone to contact Apple as well. This will not immediately fix the bug, but the higher the affected devices counter for the issue is, the higher its priority. That's what we need. Coding knowledge in itself is of small use, since the bug most likely lies somewhere in the proprietary code of iOS.

I tested it during 48 hours, one reminder each hour. There were several missing (4) so we could say that it is not fixed. At least for me.

I did it on 10.3. I upgraded to 10.3.1 but I didn't repeat the test. It is a security upgrade and I don't want to waste more time with this issue.

Dissapointing.

Maybe I will try again with 10.3.2 as it will be a bigger upgrade. But I am no confident at all...

Regards!

According to the apple bug reporter, engineering can't reproduce the issue in 10.3.1.

I tested it (once) and the issue does indeed seem to be resolved.

Wow. I have tested in iOS 10.3 and it was still missing reminders. As I said, I didn't try in iOS 10.3.1 as I thought it was just a security patch.

I am going to set it up right now (one reminder each hour) and post any result.

I hope I am wrong and it has been fixed or in case it fails and other people can't reproduce it would mean that we could work it out through configuration.

There is nothing to configure my friend. It is a bug and a nasty one because it isn't there always. I spent nearly 2 hours with an apple engineer via chat, trying to explain and reproduce the problem.

Apple is aware of the problem but obviously isn't paying enough attention to it for two reasons I believe:

1) Most assets are being used for the next iPhone.

2 and most important) users are NOT officially reporting the bug. They chat about it in communities , in support blogs like this one, with friends in the office explaining why they forgot whatever they forgot, but in the end only a handful have reported the bug officially therefore Apple is not motivated enough to pay attention and spend time and working hours on this.

They couldn't care less in other words.

New iPhone on the way. Money is there!!!

Hi all

Unfortunately it is not fixed. At least in ios 10.3.1.

Set up is quite easy: One reminder each hour. 10 hours later, I have missed 3 reminder notifications!!!! Red icon shows 9 events instead of 10, so even there we have missed events.

I 'd really appreciate if anyone has done this test with no missing reminders. Just to make sure if there is something else to consider.

I can't really understand how Apple engineers can't reproduce it unless there is some magic configuration. It is a quite easy bug since it is so easily reproduced...

Hi all, I haven't been alerted by Apple for some time for any activity in this thread. I had an idea tonight to disable reminders on my iPad & MacBook in an attempt to force them onto my iPhone. I set 5 reminders, got 1, 2 & 3 and never got 4 & 5. So sadly and infuriating this problem continues to exist. I miss so many reminders it's just really really really driving me crazy. Unbelievable this hasn't been fixed as it's going on for a long time now.

Yours frustratingly

Mike

Can someone ----please---- tell us if the problem has been fixed on ios11 (on the iPhone)?

Please remember to set at least 15-20 reminders regardless of how far apart they are, and note down if all of them notified you visually and with sound. I have been without an iPhone for months since I tried 3 different ones but all had this issue.

Would highly appreciate if returning to Apple is an option or not.

Remember: don't be enthusiastic if the first 2-3 reminders do work. The problem has no pattern and appears randomly.

Thanks
