Q: Are new gTLDs now functioning correctly in Safari IOS10?

New gTLDs (eg. .guru, .photography, etc.) have been an issue on Safari since their introduction in 2014, where the first time a valid domain name is entered, rather than resolving it goes to a search page.

This issue was resolved in Safari 7.1.2 on desktop, but as of IOS9 is still unresolved on mobile.

It appears (through admittedly limited testing) that this has been resolved in IOS10, however I've been unable to definitively find anything in release notes relating to the bug being fixed.

I have some sites i'm hoping to release and until I can confirm that this is resolved (and the fix is to a majority of users) i'm loathe to pull the trigger on launching my new sites.

Can anyone (or ideally Apple directly) confirm this is indeed fixed in the latest release of Safari with IOS10?
