When will we have a fix for the Bluetooth LE peripheral mode bug for iOS 10?

There are numerous articles on the web reporting a bug in the iOS 10 Bluetooth LE peripheral mode implementation, in particular in articles related to the Kwikset Kevo locks. Has this been fixed in iOS 10.0.2? If not, what is the timeline / release version targeted for a fix?
