    Hi @llan,

Have you solved 5s battery draining? Am using 5s too, heavily draining even in standby without using anything, ( Do you experiencing the same). I have tried everything downgrading , restore, set as new , reset and etc...

    Thanks,

    LG

On my iPhone 5S the battery-consumption culprit (according to the information under Settings) is Music.

On iOS 9.3.5 I would take my phone to work, listen to headphones for about 1/3 of the day, and come home with 65% battery left. I could reliably use the phone for 2 days in a row without charging.

On iOS 10.0.2, if I did exactly the same thing, battery would be down to 35%. Two days operation was completely out of the question.

If I don't listen to music at all during the day, battery still drops to 60%, and it still lists the Music app (background activity!) as the largest consumer.

I have all music files on my phone, and do not subscribe to any streaming service. Supposedly cellular data is disabled for Music, but it seems to find stuff for me on the internet anyway (with no WiFi available).

AND, this is even with some of the iOS 9 Music functionality stripped out. But, the album cover art grows and shrinks as you touch buttons. Woo Hoo!

Someday when I have 6 hours to spare maybe I'll try the reset & reload iOS 10 workaround.

    Hi LG,

Yes experiencing an approximate 50% increase in battery drain since the update, nothing else has been changed on the phone. This is the only update I've ever done where I've experienced this problem.

Will try the workaround once I know which restore option to use.

OK for some reason mine appears to have sorted itself out, I haven't knowingly changed anything!

When I now go into settings-battery, it's saying that it's 11 hrs, 21 min since the last charge, the charge is still showing 79%!!! that's a massive difference to yesterday.

For some strange reason it's now not displaying what functions have used the power, perhaps it's something related to that?

    Allan

Well, I guess having that **** new IOS build update pop-up reminder every day, was also a "courageous" innovation by Apple, because it nagged me enough to give in and update. Now using my Iphone 6plus is a pain in the ***, because half of the things dont work properly and even if they work, guess what? My battery dies super fast anyway.

Ive had enough though. After over 10 years Ive had it with Apples consumer blaming support. Every time I have an issue and ask Apple, they make me reset my phone. Well guess what, I did my last reset. It still works like crap and drains battery. By the way, I ordered an Android phone. You can shove your innovative expencive wireless headphones up your courage.
