Q: AirPort Extreme

Just switched to Time Warner Cable for my internet and phone.  I have a router that provides access to my phone and internet.  Previously I had just a router all by itself and then got the AirPort Extreme for wireless.  Seeing as my new router has wireless access should I still keep my AirPort Extreme or disconnect it?  This is all new to me.  Would appreciate any advice you could give me.

    What model and how old is your AE?

     

    I find with apple clients the AE work really well cf other brand routers.

     

    So it can be useful still in your network. If you can afford to, get ethernet connected to another area of your house where wireless is weak from the TWC wifi and use the AE there in bridge. It can help to reinforce the wireless and work well with apple clients.
