Apple TV WIth Comcast Internet

I have an Apple TV 3rd Gen. My Internet provider is Comcast/Xfinity. My infrastructure is I have an internal network with the 192.168.1.* schema. The internet gateway uses the 10.0.0.* schema. (Yes this works just fine for my intranet reaching the internet as there is a one way trust from the 192.168.1.* network to the 10.0.0.*). If I use my eathernet cable and connect to the 192.168.1.* network, the Apple TV works just fine. My issue is more with the Wi-Fi end of things as I'll explain

All of my devices, including my iPads and iPhones can utilize the Wi-Fi capabilities of the Comcast router without an issue connecting directly with the 10.0.0.* network. I was on the phone with Apple support having the issue with the Apple TV while using my computer to look at things over the Wi-Fi as well as ping and manage the 10.0.0.* network.

The Apple TV can connect to both my 192.168.1.* network as well as the 10.0.0.* network. However, the message that appears is that it is connected to the network but cannot connect to the iTunes Store.

Yes, I've reset/restored the Apple TV. I have given it a static IP address. I have opened several ports for it on the Comcast Router. Nothing seems to work as it continues to report the same thing. I have had it to an Apple Store and they were able to get it to connect without issue to their internet. This tells me I am missing something on my end with this router.

Does any one have any idea on what I should try next?

if the only device you have is the comcast router and it's the one providing both the 10.0.0.X and 192.168.1.X then it could be a matter if bridging the 2 networks in the routers settings

if all the 192.168.1.X devices is devices where you use static ip then I would advice against that

unless one has a very very very good reason one should just use help to get an ip if one needs the same ip for a longer period of time setting the lease period in the router is the way forward rather then static ip's

Thanks for the response. I would agree if the Comcast router was providing both network schemas, however it is not.

I have a duel-homed server (has two Nics) one Nic is for my intranet 192.168.1.10. The other Nic is for the internet 10.0.0.10. There is a one way trust between the 192.168.1.10 and 192.168.1.10 (traffic can use the 192.168.1.10 Gateway to reach the 10.0.0.10 Nic) The 10.0.0.10 Nic is plugged via Cat 6 Ethernet cable to the Comcast router 10.0.0.1. (In other words the server is a hardware firewall.) DHCP is handled by the 192.168.1.10 Server so the only static IP Addresses are the Server and Printers, as well as the Comcast router which came with the 10.0.0.1 address.

All Wi-Fi traffic is required to use the 10.0.0.* network schema. I did turn on the Wi-Fi capabilities of a router that has an address of 192.168.1.1.

If I connect the Apple TV to my 192.168.1.* network via either the 192.168.1.1 router or an Ethernet cable it works just fine to reach the Apple Store. I am not comfortable leaving my 192.168.1.1 router's Wi-Fi on for various reasons, so it has been turned back off.

If I connect to the 10.0.0.1 Wi-Fi (Comcast router) then this is when it cannot connect to the Apple Store but it does report that it has connected to the 10.0.0.* network. The Comcast router has both the 2.4 and 5.0 Wi-Fi available. I have tried this using both with the exact result. This tells me that it is something that is going on with the Comcast router itself, a closed port or something like that. It is only when I connect to the 10.0.0.* network that the Apple TV is being blocked. The Apple TV has a static IP Address of 10.0.0.40 (which falls within range).

When I connect a computer via Wi-Fi to the 10.0.0.* schema, I can ping 10.0.0.1 as well as 10.0.0.40. I can also ping the DNS for Comcast of 75.75.75.75. This is in part what is so confusing... Plus the Apple TV was able to connect to the Apple Store Wi-Fi and hit the Apple Store without issue.
