Q: mime attachment crashing email

Ipad AIR & MIME calendar attachments

Since the latest software update ( last week or 2 weeks ago) every time I try to open a
calendar attachment (e.g. that I've sent via email : work to home ) to add it to the calendar it crashes the mail application and
I cannot add appointments now..

Is this a “known” issue / any other people getting it ? AND when the bug will be fixed

Good morning, kuch69.

After updating your iPad Air to iOS 10.0.2, you're no longer able to open a Calendar attachment without the Mail app crashing. I'll be glad to help.

Use S/MIME to send encrypted messages in an Exchange environment in iOS -- The public key may have either expired or isn't located on your iPad any longer. Check with your business' IT department to make sure your iPad's configured to accept and open those attachments.

HI there,
thanks for that, it's a personal iPad so can't contact my IT department- think you've been nominated!
question : how do I fix that? Up to the last update it was all working fine and I can't see anything obvious in any settings..
