Ipad 2 screen changing colors instead of showing lock screen

I have iPad 2 running iOS 9.3.1 with broken lock button. Problem is that when I press home button to switch it on instead of showing lock screen different colors one after the other start displaying In a screen saver manner. I just want that when I press home button the lock screen should appear. Please help me in this regard.
