Q: Apple watch doesnt work

So not sure how this will go down but I am of the opinion my apple watch was the biggest waste of money to date, very disappointed.

1. it just doesn't work very well, everything runs slow and measurements are very inaccurate.

2. Quality isn't great I am not confident wearing it to train in as it will just get broken

3. Battery is shocking I am sick of charging it

4. went to do latest update and it has now crashed and locked up keep trying to reboot but it keeps failing

5. Maybe a should just give apple the money and they can keep the watch its shockingly bad.

6. Thanks apple for releasing the new version of the watch so soon, so pleased I bought the demo version which I rubbish. Maybe I should of applied for a job to do your UAT on the watch and you pay you for the privilege what a mug I was they saw me coming.

7. can someone please fix this watch, replace it before i throw it in the bin.

So disappointed in apple products and this just re enforces my decision to consider moving away from the brand.

If this is a recent purchase and you are unhappy with it, you have 14 days to return it. You also have a 1-year warranty and can bring the device to the Genius Bar and get assistance with the device. That, or you can try troubleshooting the device, but given your attitude in your rant, and you only ask if someone can fix it, I'm not sure you would like assistance here from other users. This is not Apple you are speaking to, this is a user to user support forum.

We have 3 Apple Watches in our family, one Sport, and 2 Apple Watches, and all three work extremely well and meet or exceed our expectations.

    Hi

Try force restarting your watch: press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for around 10 seconds, until you see the logo.

If that does not help, next try charging your watch for around 2 hours, making sure that you follow the charging instructions here:

After that time, if it has not already restarted automatically, remove it from the charger and:

    • Try restarting it (by pressing and holding the side button until you see the Apple logo).
    • If necessary, next try force restarting it again.

If the issue then persists, you will need to contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation for assistance:

    Re: support call

As a former manager of a customer service/tech support crew, I can tell you that the 1st person that you talk to is an entry level employee.

Whenever calling, be prepared with an "elevator pitch" = your story boiled down to the facts so that you can deliver it in the shortest amount of time - because, if a complicated issue - especially with a new product - you will almost assuredly need to ask politely to be elevated to a supervisor, where you will tell your tale again.

The reasons for a 1st level not finding 'answers' could be myriad - but one thing is certain = they operate from a "knowledge base" which they search with keywords, just like Google or searching here in ASC.

The way the KB works is that upper level folks ID, document & solve - THEN enter the stuff into the KB.

So it follows that answers to 'unique' or 'new' issues may only be known by the upper level folk.

    best luck
