Q: Apple Watch: Adjust volume of Mickey/Minnie time announcement?

Hi there,

I have been trying to figure out how to adjust the volume of the Mickey/Minnie time announcement that happens when you tap on them on the Apple Watch face. For some reason, mine has defaulted to BLARINGLY loud, so unfortunately its super distracting in office settings, when your in a quite place, etc.

I have tried turning the watch volume up and down (no change), tried playing with haptics (no change), tried different combinations of volume controls, turning sound on-and-off and removing and adding the Mickey and Minnie watch faces (no change),....nothing seems to change the volume of the announcement.

Has anyone else found a way to adjust this?

Thanks!

Apple Watch, iOS 10.0.2

    Hey there DaniHearts,

I understand that you are seeing some issues with your Apple Watch and the notification sounds. The first step I would suggest to address this issue would be to restart the Apple Watch using the information in the article below:

Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities!

    Regards.

    Hi Brenden,

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually already tried this a couple times, and it didn't change the volume at all.

Any other suggestions? Is your watch the same way?

I am just wondering if this is an overall issue that needs to be addressed by Apple, or if it is just an issue effecting my watch.

    Thank you!

    Hey there DaniHearts,

Thanks for checking out that suggestion. Let's move along with the best troubleshooting steps for this issue. Next, I'd like you to try an unpair and re-pair process on your Apple Watch. This will create a backup of your Watch which you can restore from when re-pairing:

Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support

If the issue persists, you may want to try the same process but without restoring from that backup when you are re-pairing the Watch.

Let us know how it goes.

    Cheers.
